Atlanta BeltLine Workday
March 18, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
March 18, 9:00am – 1:00 pm
Come out to one of Atlanta’s most vibrant city sites! The Beltline gets enormous amounts of traffic and visibility. We want to share native plants with the hundreds of thousands who walk by the GEORGIA NATIVE PLANT SOCIETY plant site!
We will be planting native shrubs along the section of the BeltLine that has been allocated to GNPS, specifically to showcase native plants. Please consider spending a few hours with us to complete planting for the season. A light lunch and King of Pops popsicles will be provided.
What to bring: Bring gloves, water bottle, and shovel (some will be available) or your favorite shrub-planting tool
Directions: The closest location to the site is one block north off N. Highland at the corners of Elizabeth Street and Bernina Avenue.
Parking: There is some street parking near the site but difficult to find a space. The BeltLine Skate Park has free street parking and is a short walk under Freedom Parkway Bridge to the site. There is also free parking at Carter Center with a short walk down the Freedom Parkway Bike Trail.
Please contact Sally Hilton to confirm your participation; we’ll send out updated information and any final details a few days prior to the workday.
