Augusta/CSRA Chapter Interest 2nd Meeting
January 25, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
We are pleased to announce a 2nd chapter interest meeting in the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA). Phinizy Center for Water Sciences has generously offered to host a 2nd meeting for the group of folks interested in organizing this formation. There will be sign up sheets for your interests in chapter development along with descriptions of the new state board, plant sales, scheduled rescues and how to become a facilitator, upcoming events in Atlanta area and across the state, etc.
The initial goal for the future is to establish meeting places in a variety of centralized locations as regularly as possible while we consolidate interest, collect schedules, organize volunteer efforts, and answer general questions about GNPS.
Columbia County Library held the first chapter interest meeting on October 5th. There were approximately 25 in attendance and over 60 expressed an interest. So the potential is definitely there!
If you missed the first meeting, or have simply been wishing a native plant society chapter would form and want to find out more, please join us! If you can’t make the date of the 25th but want to express your interest, please email:
Melanie Bass Pollard, GNPS President 2019, firstname.lastname@example.org
and/or Michelle Zupan at email@example.com.
