Chapter Meeting in Gainesville
June 12, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
With forested areas decreasing, damage in suburban and urban gardens due to deer is on the increase. “Beating the Herd” attempts to present methods of control to aid in minimizing the effects of the largest garden pest in the Southeast.
Controlling the effects of deer seems almost impossible. Nathan Wilson of Lanier Nursery and Gardens proposes that it is possible to relieve some pressures of deer damage in the garden by consciously integrating different modes of control to create a management system appropriate to the specific site.
