GNPS Native Plant Sale
September 23, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
JOIN US Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 10 am – 2 pm for the Georgia Native Plant Society FALL PLANT SALE. Attendance is FREE for both the Plant Sale and Native Fest! This will be our largest sale yet for the fall planting season. We will have 1,000’s of fall shade and sun perennials, ferns, vines, grasses, shrubs, trees and over 300 azaleas will be available with knowledgeable GNPS volunteers and native plant experts to answer your questions.
This is a wonderful opportunity to get your plants in the ground before winter when their roots can settle in and establish themselves stronger for the following summer. Our sale will also include the GNPS Native Plant Fest featuring Atlanta Audubon Society educational presentations, vendors, and our new Habitat Certification Program, featuring the new signage! Look for our Wood Thrush Friendly signs to buy native plants that feed the Wood Thrush.
Bring the kids to participate in our Pollinator Friendly Yards activity where kids can learn how to plant for our pollinators and wildlife. Shade-grown coffee, patented Kombi shovels and GNPS/AAS merchandise will be available for purchase.
The native plants we sell have been rescued with special permission from different sites within the state of Georgia, propagated by our members, donated, or purchased from local nurseries. All GNPS-propagated plants are free of neonicotinoids and safe for the pollinators attracted to them. All proceeds from our plant sales support GNPS in our mission to promote the stewardship and conservation of Georgia’s native plants and their habitats through education and with the involvement of individuals and organizations.
Bring a wagon so you’ll have an easy time loading your plants to your car! Be sure to get there early to have plenty of choices since our Azaleas are often sold out by noon. Cash, checks, and credit cards accepted.
