May 27 Rescue, Fort Payne, Alabama, 10:30 am ET

Yes, you read that correctly – this rescue is in eastern Alabama. The site belongs to a GNPS member who has offered us the chance to rescue plants from it. Distance to meeting place is approximately 2 hours from I-75 exit 277 (Hwy 92). Please contact the leader with any questions about logistics. This rescue is ideal for our NW Georgia members!

Plants found include: Solomon’s plume (Maianthemum racemosum), Sweet Betsy trillium (Trillium cuneatum), black cohosh (Actaea racemosa), woodland phlox (Phlox divaricata), Solomon’s seal (Polygonatum biflorum), bellwort (Uvularia spp.), jack in the pulpit (Arisaema triphyllum), bloodroot (Sanguinaria canadensis), mayapple (Podophyllum peltatum), toothwort (Cardamine spp.), creeping goldenrod (Solidago spathulata), false indigo bush (Amorpha fruticosa).
