Stone Mountain Propagation Project Workday

January 26 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

The Stone Mountain Propagation Project (SMPP) workdays are a weekly educational opportunity to learn about native plants and contribute to conservation efforts. Most plants grown by SMPP will find their home in land restoration projects or educational gardens. The propagation effort goes on all year long, and its success depends on regular volunteers. Please consider spending a few hours with us each month. Our propagation area is inside Stone Mountain Park, but gate fees are waived on the workdays for propagation workers.

If this will be your first time at a GNPS propagation workday, write to us at smpp_admin@gnps.org at least three days in advance to receive directions and let us know you are coming out to help. This allows us to plan to orient new folks and to ensure you have a great first time at SMPP. If you decide to volunteer with us regularly, we will put you on an email reminder list that goes out in advance of each week’s workday. We do request that people sign up to attend each week as it helps us plan work based on how many people we expect to attend. Thank you for understanding!
