Stone Mountain Propagation Project Workday

October 1, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Note we have started our cool season hours 10AM until at least noon.

SMPP does not get to take time off, we are a year long project, so please consider volunteering on one of the workdays, not just for the spring and fall plant sales. Plants for the sales and for restoration projects are obtained in three ways: donations from members’ yards (and commercial nurseries), propagation either at Stone Mountain or again in members’ yards and through plant rescues. If you aren’t able to make a workday consider digging an extra plant especially ferns, trilliums, Hepatica, and other hard to propagate natives. We take plants all year round at the park, helping with maintaining the stock is an added benefit to everyone.

To have the gate fee waived tell the attendant you are there for the GNPS workday.

Learn more about native plants and propagation at our workday.

Directions: GPS coordinates 33.812863, -84.158739, to the ‘Walking Trails’ parking lot.
