Gaskins Forest Education Center in Alapaha, GA is a privately-owned property that supports environmental conservation, education and research. Farm buildings are used for meetings, workshops and programs. The botanical plantings include an extensive arboretum, pollinator garden, bog garden, fern walk and ephemeral pond. Lots of native plants will be flowering in August for the Georgia Pollinator Census such as Asclepias, Monarda, Liatris, Solidago, Gaillardia and Eutrochium. Thanks to Heather Brasell and others who helped the Center achieve the Gold Native Plant Habitat Certification!
