Chinese privet (Ligustrum sinense) is familiar to most GNPS members as an invasive exotic that crowds out many native plants in the woods all over our state.  On March 10th, members associated with the Heritage Park Restoration Site will demonstrate reliable no-impact methods for dealing with it, and you can enjoy the satisfaction of removing it from the native hardwood forest at the site.  Orientation and signup begins at 9:45 and the work session runs from 10:00 to 12:00.  There is a Chili Lunch (with regular and vegetarian versions) afterwards for all the hard workers!

Contact member Connie Ghosh at connieg6474@gmail.com on or before March 4 to register or for more information.

The park is located at 60 Fontaine Rd., Mableton, Ga.  30126  Heritage Park’s trail connects to the Silver Comet Trail for an enjoyable hike (approx. 11/4 mi. to Trail).
