There are some very dedicated gardeners who maintain the Mineral Springs Park in Blue Ridge. Fran Stoeker and Alyce Wirtz lead the North Georgia Master Gardeners work on plant identification, eradicating invasive plant species and adding plants to this park. Walking through the 14 acres is a treat to find ferns and wildflowers like Summer Bluet (Houstonia longifolia), Dwarf Ginseng (Panax trifolius), and Rattlesnake Plantain (Goodyera pubescens). A Gold Level Certification was awarded for preserving this property.
