Tickets include admission to four habitats.\nPurchase Tickets\nRegister for this day of self-guided tours and get inspired about adding native plants to your yard or patio. Spring is the perfect time of year to view the beautiful woodland wildflowers and spring ephemerals of our featured gardens. Enjoy the milder April temperatures while you meander down woodland paths\, stroll past buckeyes and flowering azaleas\, and admire the spring blooms that attract bees\, hummingbirds\, and more. \nThe gardens are located in Gwinnett County. Ticket sales support our educational\, restoration\, and advocacy activities focused on inspiring Atlanta to grow and preserve native plants. We also warmly invite you to make an additional donation to our chapter when you register for the tour. Your support makes our all-volunteer-led work possible! \nInterested in Volunteering? \nVolunteers will be asked to work four-hour shifts at one of the gardens and can attend the rest of the tour for free. SUMMARY:Biodiversity in the Preserve: A Community Science Walk
DESCRIPTION:Join Intown GNPS board members Vanessa Miot and Laura Qadri for a guided walk at Lionel Hampton–Beecher Hills Nature Preserve\, where we will explore\, observe\, and document the plants and wildlife that shape this unique urban habitat. \nThis walk is designed to welcome both seasoned naturalists and those just beginning their journey. Children and adults alike are encouraged to participate and connect with fellow nature enthusiasts. \nAs part of the global City Nature Challenge\, led locally by Fernbank Museum\, attendees will learn how to identify and document wildlife using the community science platform iNaturalist. Contributing your findings strengthens biodiversity data for our region and supports ongoing research and conservation efforts. \nThis event is free\, but registration is required.
