Report of Berkeley Lake workday March 27, 2019

Four GNPS members met at the Henderson Nature Sanctuary at Berkeley Lake to remove resprouted NNIS, like privet, liriope, English ivy. Much Youngia japonica was dug out. It was a beautiful spring day. Carolina silverbells were blooming. Also blooming was redbud, Cercis canadensis; Trillium cunneatum; Atamasco or rain lily, Zephyranthes atamasco. Red buckeye had buds showing. Afterwards we ate lunch together.

The next scheduled workday will be Wednesday, April 24, 2019, 10:00 – 12:00. Please bring your gloves, kneeler, and weeder to help. Wear your boots and long pants.
