Designing Your Native Landscape with Trecia Neal

April 16 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

The West Georgia Chapter of the Georgia Native Plant Society is pleased to host a presentation by Trecia Neal on landscape design with native plants. Neal is the founder of Green Gardens Education and Designs LLC and the co-owner of Wild Roots Native Nursery. She specializes in helping homeowners transform their barren lawns into living landscapes full of pollinators, birds, and wildlife. Attendees have described her previous presentations as attention-grabbing and filled with practical tips for planning and installing native landscapes.

Neal was a biologist at Fernbank Science Center in Atlanta for 30 years.  She is a Monarch Watch Conservation Specialist for the University of Kansas and serves on the Board of Monarchs Across Georgia as the Pollinator Certification Committee Co-Chair. She is in demand as a public speaker for a variety of topics that include composting, vermicomposting, monarch butterfly ecology and biology, and gardening for pollinators and birds.

There will be a reception at 6:30 with refreshments, followed by the presentation at 7:00.  Admission is free, and all are welcome.
