On Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 9:30 am, the Fringed Campion Chapter will join forces with MerServe — the Mercer University student service leadership board — at Amerson River Park in Macon to remove invasive plant species (English ivy, privet, mimosa, Bradford pear, Chinese tallow, paper mulberry) from the pathway in the park.

Garden work attire is recommended (long pants, long sleeves, gloves, hat, work boots). Add layers for cold weather. Bring a water bottle and your favorite tools, but the chapter also has some to share. Drop in or stay the whole time, we appreciate the assistance!

Volunteers must be 12 years of age or older, and those 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. All volunteers sign the GNPS waiver of liability before digging in.
