Habitat restoration work continues at Heritage Park in central Cobb County with tasks including invasive removal, native plantings, and garden maintenance. Wear clothing appropriate to the weather and uneven terrain; be sure your footwear is closed-toe. Bring work gloves and hand tools such as pruning saw, shears, shovel, pick, etc., if you have them; if not that’s OK. Water will be provided or bring your own drinks. Gnats and/or yellow jackets may be present.

Workdays normally run from 9:00-11:00 a.m. in warm months (May-September), and 10:00-noon in cooler months. Sometimes, the times shown for the event may not be updated during the transitional months.
