November 9 Conservation Rescue Houston County, Warner Robins, 9:00 am

November 9, 2023 @ 9:00 am - 12:30 pm

This is a conservation survey and some plants will be donated to GNPS chapter restoration projects. Participants may take home plants after conservation quotas are satisfied.

Please read our liability waivers in advance: there are two: the participant agreement and the liability waiver. By signing up for this rescue, you agree to terms in these documents. You will be asked to sign them at the rescue.

There will be 2nd rescue at this site primarily for 3 educational gardens in Houston County and a meadow restoration in Bibb County. We need to get 5 of each type grass for each of the educational gardens and 10 of each grass for the restoration meadow.

Plants of particular interest to the educational gardens and restoration meadow:
Purple-top Grass (Tridens flavus), Split Beard Bluestem (Andropogon ternarius), Purple Love Grass (Eragrostis spectabilis)

Other plants on the site include: Smooth Spiderwort (Tradescantia ohiensis), Camphorweed (Heterotheca subaxillaris), Virginia Creeper (Parthenocissus quinquefolia), Tall Goldenrod (Solidago altissima),  Spanish Needles (Bidens bipinnata),  Catalpa (Catalpa bignonioides), False Foxglove (Agalinis purpurea), Sweet Everlasting (Pseudognaphalium obtusifolium), Beautyberry (Callicarpa americana), Persimmon (Diospyros virginiana), Eastern Red Cedar (Juniperus virginiana), Sweetshrub (Calycanthus floridus).
