Sept 1 Rescue Hall County, Gainesville, White Sulphur, 9:30 am

Covid-19 Protocols in effect for this event:

  1. This rescue is limited to 12 rescuers.
  2. Masks are required to be used during the initial gathering portion of the rescue.
  3. Agreement for the participant agreement and the liability waiver will be gathered verbally. By signing up for this rescue, you agree to terms in these documents (the documents are unchanged from previous rescues). Please review them in advance.

Trees: Various oaks (Quercus rubra, Quercus alba, Quercus coccinea), sourwood (Oxydendrum arboreum), American beech (Fagus grandifolia), white ash (Fraxinus americana), black cherry (Prunus serotina), chickasaw plum (Prunus angustifolia), various pines (Pinus sp), cedar (Juniperus virginiana), American holly (Ilex opaca). Shrubs: mountain laurel (Kalmia latifolia), elderberry (Sambucus nigra ssp canadensis), low bush blueberry (Vaccinium sp.), hearts a bustin (Euonymus americanus). Perennials: hillcane (Arundinaria sp), ebony spleenwort (Asplenium platyneuron), Christmas fern (Polystichum acrostichoides), pippissiwa  (Chimaphila maculata), heartleaf ginger (Hexastylis arifolia), cranefly orchid (Tipularia discolor), birdfoot violet (Viola pedata), mountain mint (Pycnanthemum sp.), ragwort (Packera sp.), bluets (Houstonia sp.), St. Andrew’s cross (Hypericum hypericoides), elephant’s foot (Elephantopus tomentosus). Vines: climbing hydrangea (Decumaria barbara), muscadine (Vitus rotundifolia).
