The Friends of Thomson Park June workday on Saturday, June 17, from 9:00 am until noon, is co-hosted by the Intown Chapter of GNPS!  This special workday will feature a hike through our GNPS sanctioned habitat restoration area along with a discussion of our restoration philosophy and a demonstration of techniques.  After our short hike (which includes stream fording) and Q&A time, we will finish prepping a section of the site for planting this fall.

We meet in the lower parking lot near the pavilion.  Please note that parking at that location is currently a bit limited due to the presence of construction materials for a new playground.  Additional parking is available back up the hill near the tennis courts and the entrance to the park.  We supply tools, water, and goodies. Wear appropriate shoes for working outside and bring a pair of work gloves. (Though we do have plenty of clean work gloves available if you forget your own pair.)  We meet from 9:00am to noon, but any time you can spare is greatly appreciated.  Please note there are NO restroom facilities in the park.
