Workshop Helps Property Owners Plan Their Plantings
On November 2 Trecia Neal of Green Gardens Education and Designs presented an information-packed workshop for the West Georgia Chapter at the Carrollton Ag Center. This sold-out event guided participants through the process of creating a native landscape design for their property. Trecia explained the factors that need to be considered during site evaluation and plant selection, such as soil type, light, and moisture, and discussed how to use a matrix of forbs and grasses to create a healthy and attractive property. The workshop offered something for everyone, from “newbies” to long-time native plant gardeners. Kudos to Trecia for a great presentation, and to the chapter’s Board of Directors for organizing this event.
