Blue Heron Nature Preserve Native Plant Educational Garden

Blue Heron Nature Preserve is a 30-acre greenspace in North Buckhead owned by City of Atlanta and managed by the non-profit Blue Heron Nature Preserve Inc (BHNP). The native plant educational garden was completed in October 2024 and is located at the entrance to the Preserve, serving as an invitation to the public to visit and explore. The garden boasts more than 30 species of native plants and serves the core of the BHNP mission to connect people to nature through conservation, education and art in nature. The educational garden is a tool used for children’s camp activities and field trip programs.
