Take a tour of the Emory University Herbarium led by curator Dr. Tharanga Samarakoon. The herbarium is home to more than 25,000 plant specimens, dating back to the late 1800s. Its holdings are diverse, particularly rich in plants from the southeastern United States, fungi, and lichens, and contain the collections inherited from the Southern Appalachian Botanical Society. Included in the tour is a demonstration on making herbarium specimens. This event is members-only and costs $10.
