Report of Berkeley Lake workday July 28, 2017
Three GNPS members met at the Henderson Nature Sanctuary at Berkeley Lake to combat weeds, like Microstegium, mulberry weed, Mondo grass, liriope, English ivy, privet resprouts, and nandina seedlings. After the rain last week, there was water turning the paddle wheel. Rudbeckia fulgida ‘Goldstrum’ was blooming. After weeding, three of us enjoyed lunch together.
The next scheduled workday will be Wednesday, August 23, 2017, 10:00 – 12:00, when we will again remove weeds.
