Report of Mary Scott Nature Park workday December 1, 2018

Two GNPS members pulled weeds from the parking area bed: Youngia japonica, woodsorrel, crabgrass, mazus, thistle, and strawberry. It was a drizzly, rainy day. Blue mistflower, Georgia aster, and Georgia basil were still blooming in the area. The volunteers picked up beer cans and garbage strewn about the parking area.

The next scheduled workday will be Saturday, January 5, 2019, 2-4 pm when we plan to continue removing nonnative plants. Please bring your gardening gloves, soil knife/trowel, and kneeler to help. The annual Friends meeting will be immediately thereafter at ChocoLate.
