Welcome to WD Thomson Park in DeKalb County! The Friends of Thomson Park have three upcoming monthly workdays during the summer of 2022:
– Saturday, June 18, 9:00am to 12:00pm
– Saturday, July 23, 9:00am to 12:00pm
– Saturday, August 20, 9:00am to 12:00pm
Work in our native habitat restoration site includes invasive removal and control, spreading of hardwood mulch, and planting of grasses and sedges in the meadow area beside the creek (June only). Be sure to bring work gloves and, especially during the summer months, extra water. Also bring mosquito repellant, if you use it. We will supply water and any tools that may be needed. Please note that there are no restroom facilities in the park.
Thomson Park is located at 1760 Mason Mill Rd., Decatur, GA, 30033. We meet in the lower parking lot near the open field.
