In partnership with ReForest ATL and the Georgia Native Plant Society North Metro Chapter, the City of Alpharetta is committed to invasive plant removal at Old Rucker Park.

Please note: volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult the entire time. If the participant is over 13, the adult does not have to participate but does have to stay on site the entire time. 

Volunteers will work with leaders from ReForest ATL and GNPS to remove invasive plants, including privet, honeysuckle, and any other identified invasive species. This project takes place in the woods at Old Rucker Park. Volunteers will work on hand-pulling seedlings at the direction of group leaders. No experience is necessary!

Bring water, snacks, and sunscreen.

Wear weather-appropriate clothes and shoes that can get dirty. Long sleeves and long pants are highly encouraged. Closed toed shoes are required.
