With time, patience, and a thoughtful love of native plants, the landscape is being gradually transformed into a thriving habitat—featuring an ever-shrinking lawn, 15 canopy tree species, a rich mix of understory trees and shrubs, and a diverse array of sedges, ferns, vines, and forbs.
