Work Report by Connie Ghosh

Removal and/or treatment of invasive privet (Ligustrum sinense) continues on other side of creek; one was a full 12” in diameter, and the others (approximately twenty) were 4-6” diam. Also on other side of creek, patches of Japanese chafflower (Achyranthes japonica) and recurring perilla (P. frutescens) along the trail were pulled.  In the pavilion garden: Fallen river birch (Betula nigra) twigs & branches were cleared from the main garden section, and the various natives including pipevine (Aristolochia macrophylla) were trimmed and tended. Likewise, along the sidewalk weeds were removed.
