The West Georgia Chapter’s February meeting is all about the birds–bluebirds, that is.  Our speaker is Jim Bearden, “The Bluebird Guy,” who is the founder and keeper of the Bluebird Trail at Green Meadows Preserve on Dallas Highway in Marietta.  The Trail started in 2012 with a single nest box and has grown over the years until today it includes 31 nest boxes and 20 feeders.  Since its inception, nearly 3,000 bluebirds have hatched and fledged from the trail’s nest boxes, and monitoring and maintaining the trail keeps Jim and several volunteers very busy.  In his presentation Jim will explain how you can bring bluebirds back to your yard, and will answer any questions you have about these amazing little birds.  There will be a reception with refreshments at 6:30, followed by the presentation at 7:00.
