Please note that there is limited parking in the lot, but you may park along the outer fence.
There is no fee for the meeting, but if you would like to explore the Historic Site, you can pay the entry fee at the front desk after the meeting.
This meeting is open to the public, so please feel free to bring a friend!
Feature Presentation
We are thrilled to announce that our speaker will be Shanna Lee, Georgia Native Seed Network Technician for the State Botanical Garden of Georgia at the University of Georgia.
In collaboration with the Jekyll Island Authority’s conservation department, Shanna has been collecting native ecoregion adapted seeds and growing out native plugs for restoration. Shanna has grown about 170,000 plants to date and is working largely on a project to restore an area of the island, which was previously used as a golf course, into a grassland ecosystem which will function as a wildlife corridor.
