Mary Scott Nature Park Workday

Come out Saturday for the workday at Mary Scott Nature Park! Note the hours are 9 a.m. – 11 as the weather has warmed up.
This beautiful park is at a maintenance stage and is an excellent example of how an urban forest should look. Come out and learn about restoration, do some good work, and have fun!
These 10.6 acres of central DeKalb County greenspace, acquired in 2003, are a pocket of natural beauty in the midst of lawn-heavy 1960’s suburbia. The old homestead’s woods are battling exotic invasives and, to a lesser extent, historic landscape plants. Public education on the restoration process, including that of a streambank, is a goal for Mary Scott Nature Park.
Our regular workday is first Saturday of each month. Come to front entrance 4150 Briarcliff Rd.
