The Intown Atlanta Chapter of the Georgia Native Plant Society
Who We Are
The Intown Atlanta Chapter of the Georgia Native Plant Society, founded in 2020, is part of the statewide GNPS, serving native plant enthusiasts from the Atlanta area. Any member of GNPS is welcome to join the Intown Atlanta Chapter.
What We Do
Our year-round programming includes:
- Native plant talks and workshops with experts and featured speakers; native plant hikes; educational events; and more
- Advocacy promoting native plant biodiversity throughout Georgia
- Site restoration (learn more below)

- Community pods, connecting members to nearby native plant enthusiasts (learn more here)

How Can You Join?
Current GNPS members can join the Intown Atlanta Chapter by logging in and updating their chapter affiliation through the chapter affiliation form.
New or renewing members can select a chapter affiliation on the membership form.
While you can attend any chapter’s events as a member of GNPS, affiliating with Intown ensures you are the first to hear of our events via our email announcements.

GNPS Restoration Sites
Part of the Intown Atlanta Chapter’s mission is to support GNPS restoration sites in our area by removing invasive species, restoring native plant populations, and encouraging education about natural plant and wildlife communities.
